- In Social Studies, we have been talking about community. We read the book, "This Is My Home, This Is My School" and drew a picture of our home. We connected this book to "The Important Book" and wrote about what was the most important part of our home.
- In math, we have begun working on the following outcomes from the Alberta Program of Studies:
- Subitize (recognize at a glance) and name familiar arrangements of 1 to 10 objects or dots.
- Represent and describe numbers to 20, concretely, pictorially and symbolically
- Using two dice, we showed our understanding through pictures, tallies, words and dots. This is a skill that we will continue to practice throughout the year.
Classroom Updates
- Booking for conferences is open on November 17th. Please log onto Power School to book a time to come in on Thursday evening or Friday morning.
- Due to conferences, Thursday, November 21st is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 and there is no school on Friday, November 22nd.
- Book orders are due on Friday, November 22nd.
